I am a customer on Green Turtle Cay, and several weeks ago, lightning struck the tower from which we receive our internet signal.
Information quickly circulated on Green Turtle that all of the internet equipment in the tower was fried. Frankly, BEC has conditioned us to expect that we would be out for, at best a week, or at worst, several weeks.
Instead, the internet service was restored the following day. Information quickly circulated on Green Turtle that technicians were on the 7:30 AM ferry to make repairs. I was impressed. Bahamas WiMax had the equipment inventory in Marsh Harbour to make the repairs and had employees in Marsh Harbour qualified to make prompt repairs.
This experience solidified our comfort in having Bahamas WiMax for our internet service.
